An Astrological Look at Relationships

When I ponder the story of western society’s progress over the past four thousand years (Age of Aries and Age of Pisces) my sense of the quality that is most precious is our drive for “individuation.” This was the foundation stone of Greek philosophy, and the rights of the individual live at the heart of the ‘humanitarian principle’. Wars and revolutions are fought for this. So astrologically speaking we can say that we have been Solar or Sun driven, and this is primarily secret men’s business.

The Sun, Moon and Ascendant

An example chart: Mr. Kennedy was born at the full Moon so that we find the two luminaries in close opposition in the natal chart. This placement fosters a need for objectivity in the life as there is a very basic conflict contained within such a position. The Sun and Moon are in the Second and Eighth Houses respectively and in the signs Pisces and Virgo. A full Moon nativity stresses the differences between the essential nature of an individual (Sun) and its need for formative self-expression in day-today contacts (Moon). Here we see that Mr. Kennedy will frequently encounter the juxtaposition between his inner goals and the forms that these ideals take in the outer life. Thus in order to achieve his inner aspirations, he may often have to compromise on the forms of their realization. The cooperation of other people may often seem out of alignment with these plans. He will have to be able to allow others to do things in their own way and not necessarily according to his own methodology. As the Moon is in Virgo, this will not be an easy factor for him to accept as he has a very specific notion of how his plans should be carried out. He may be open to much disappointment if he doesn't achieve enough faith in the methodologies of those in subordinate positions.

Synthesis is the keyword here. Mr. Kennedy should avoid allowing himself to fall into "either/or" situations. Instead he should always strive for a third point of focus with his associates for the betterment and greater harmony of the whole. Discretion, positive discrimination and acceptance, are important qualities that he will have to incorporate into his public and private life.

Cosmic News - Sketching New Plans

With the SUN in CAPRICORN and the FULL MOON in CANCER,
we welcome the Goddess of Infinite Giving. The Full Moon is in the Vedic Moon Mansion ruled by Aditi, the Mother Goddess who brings back, renews, offers a cornucopia of abundance.

Sometimes her gift-granting takes twice in the asking. If there are any doubts or fears, or any residue of self-unworth in our New Year's intentions and desires ("I don't deserve what I want"), then manifestation is short-circuited or delayed. Certainly this is one of the lessons of the times: to let go of those doubts and fears, to empower and free our thoughts to allow unprecedented probabilities to spark the sky like fireworks. This year is about designing and beginning to implement a new master plan.

URANUS-MERCURY

A Message Dedicated To Aries

InfiniteQuest Article Image

An Aries individual is a self-starter.  He is “cardinal-fire” and is totally dependent on his own self-motivational creative energies.  When he is not in touch with this “engine”, he has no power.  He then becomes a lamb rather than a ram.  The potency of the will is practically non-existent.  The totally personality-centered Aries is usually unconscious about his urge to project his need for response to his desire nature.  He initiates, but the force is immediate at best, without the objective awareness required to be able to see where his initiatory fires will lead and the nature of the responses they will provoke.  Everything is based on a “me-first” attitude.  This does not make for a “bad” person as much as it does for one who is rather naïve and unaware of others and his surrounding environment.

Cosmic News - Suchness Eclipse

InfiniteQuest Article Image

THE FULL MOON
--on DECEMBER 10 (9:36am EST, 2:36pm GMT) and on DECEMBER 11 for many in the far east--is the LAST TOTAL ECLIPSE in the signs of SAGITTARIUS-GEMINI this time around. This run of eclipses started on December Solstice 2010. The next eclipse season in June-July 2012 has no total eclipse, but features the spectacular Venus occultation that helps make 2012 the very special year it is. We'll be talking more and more about that moment.

For now, this month's TOTAL ECLIPSE opens further the doorway into a grand New Year. The GEMINI FULL MOON offers many options, maybe too many, which obscures the clear way forward. What is your truth out of all the roads that seem to open before you? Let your intuition be your guide.

URANUS, MERCURY and JUPITER turn direct in December, indicating forward movement into new directions and dimensions.

“With a huge sigh of relief our hero emerges once more into the world after passing the tests of his transformational sojourn in the underworld. Freshly empowered he strikes out into the unknown future, jumps on his trusty steed and hits the road. The question becomes what is the purpose that will lend meaning to the final stages of his journey to consciousness? What is the meaning of life?”

Cosmic News - Changing Eclipse

InfiniteQuest Article Image

The November 24-25 NEW MOON (1:10am EST, 6:10am GMT) in early SAGITTARIUS is a SOLAR ECLIPSE, a partial eclipse, therefore not particularly strong. Nevertheless-, an eclipse of any sort is going to shift the energy, up the ante, call for attention. And the follow-up FULL MOON on DECEMBER 10 is a TOTAL ECLIPSE!

"And if the band you're in starts playing different tunes,
I'll see you on the dark side of the moon." -Roger Waters,
--"Brain Damage" from Pink Floyd's The Dark Side of the Moon album

This NEW MOON ECLIPSE is notable in the U.S. by being on Thanksgiving night. Globally it is punctuated by MERCURY TURNING RETROGRADE the same day! Therefore, December gets a off to a slow start with little Mercury in apparent backward motion, as we start the countdown to the seasonal holidays and the New Year.

Making a list and checking it [at least] twice,
