What Is This All About?

InfiniteQuest Article Image

I would like to follow up on my last article about the young man I ‘regressed’ who saw and experienced himself twelve years into the future as a successful business person. I cannot report the validation of that incident yet, but I can tell you the results of his overall experience of the hypnotism. He originally came to see me to be hypnotized to alleviate test anxiety and improve his score on a national exam. I hypnotized him two times, a week before the exam and the day before the exam. Last week, his mother telephoned me to tell me that he performed significantly better on the exam after our sessions than he had previously scored the last time he sat for the test several months ago. This improvement in test scores, she explained, will facilitate his acceptance to the college of his choice. She also explained that the boy did not think our sessions had anything to do with the improved scores. However, she and her husband were convinced otherwise.

What really happened? What is this all about? I have learned that whatever is supposed to occur during our ‘regression’ sessions is exactly what will happen. We have all of the power to help and heal ourselves in our unconscious mind with the guidance and wisdom of our spirit guides who are with us always. All we have to do is listen to our guides. As I have written before, the guidance comes to us in the form of a gut feeling, sixth sense, a thought [from nowhere] in our mind. Reading John Edward’s books and my sister, Char Margolis’ books will help you to listen to your guides.

"Same Soul, Many Bodies" - The Timeless Soul

InfiniteQuest Article Image

Where does the soul go after it leaves the body? I'm not sure; there may be no word for it. I call it another dimension, a higher level of consciousness or higher state of consciousness. The soul certainly exists outside of the physical body, and it makes connections not only to the other lifetimes of the person it just departed but to all other souls. We die physically, but this part of us is indestructible and immortal. The soul is timeless. Ultimately, there is probably just one soul, one energy.

Dreams and Divinity

Wouldn’t it be great if we could just pick up the phone and call up to Heaven?

“Hello God? Yeah, it’s me again, have ya’ got a minute? I was wondering if I could bounce a couple of ideas off of you?”

Happily I can report that we do have a hot-line to heaven as close as our pillows, and that direct communication is possible through our nightly dreams.

Of course the Bible is filled with dreams in which God and angels warned and guided the people of the day. And, history is replete with factual stories of inventors, designers, authors, scientists, musicians, athletes and others in all fields of human endeavor who have received important messages enabling them to do great works through their dreams.

Mercury Retrograde

InfiniteQuest Article Image

Mercury retrograde: Mercury is the toasty planet whirling so close to the Sun that it never appears farther than one sign away. Mercury has 4.15 years, or rotations around the Sun, to each earth year.  Because we’re moving in the same direction, although slower, Mercury appears to rotate around the Sun only three times a year; it can move up to 28° ahead of the Sun as an evening star, then starts to circle back on its orbit and looks, from our Earthly perspective, to move backwards or turn retrograde against the pattern of the Zodiac behind it for about three weeks. (see http://astro.unl.edu/classaction/animations/renaissance/retrograde.html )

When it does, we get a chance to come to a new and deeper understanding, reconnect with our past and bring work to completion, do anything that begins re-, like remember, re-edit, reconnect, retreat, reorganize, but all that Mercury stands for may not work quite like we hope. Mercury retrograde can really snafu business as usual, but it is loaded with its own gifts if we take the time and dance with it well.

Mercury likes to move, so the day at the beginning and end of this retrograde cycle -when Mercury appears to hold still -are the trickiest; so much hold still here on earth.  Mercury disappears into the Sun’s light and reappears on the other side more often than any other visible planet—one reason it corresponds to the magician and the shape-shifter archetypes in mythology.

Mercury: In Greek mythology, Mercury was the God of the crossroads, the messenger of the Gods and the psychopomp that went down to the underworld to negotiate for the release of lost souls. He was also God of thieves; he symbolizes an ingenious quality that is a gift when in the service of the Gods but a source of trouble when used to disconnect us from heart and body or for personal gain.

Loss & Grief: A Family's Story

InfiniteQuest Article Image

Today my husband and I are going to a funeral. I will refer to the young woman who died as Peg and her mother, as Ann. Peg leaves behind her mother, her husband, two little girls, ages 7 and 9, and her brother. Peg died after a long experience with cancer. Ann has now suffered the losses of her husband, her youngest son, her first son-in-law and now her only daughter.

Her husband died several years ago after a long suffering with ALS. This is a horrible sickness that attacks and destroys the physical body as the mind continues to work perfectly well. Her youngest son died two years ago after becoming paralyzed in a freak exercise equipment accident. Apparently, the exercise machine malfunctioned, broke, landed on and broke his neck. Ann’s son-in-law, in his efforts to help his beloved brother-in-law heal, took him to South America for an alternative treatment he had heard about and was counting on. This treatment was not successful. Ann’s son-in-law was despondent. He died shortly thereafter from an accidental overdose of drugs. He left Ann’s daughter, Peg, a young widow with two little girls.

Spring is Here!

InfiniteQuest Article Image

Spring is here! Happy days! A time to rejoice, count our blessings and allow ourselves to rejuvenate. A time to lift our spirits and a time to heal. This is so much easier to do for some of us than for others. The real challenge is to be able to do this when we are facing adversity. When we experience health, financial, psychological, family, interpersonal and any other difficult issues, the challenges to think positive are great and overwhelming. So what can we do?

The trick is to bring rebirth to our spirituality and to our thinking. Remember, our spirit guides are always with us. They will guide and help us when we open ourselves to and listen to their wisdom and guidance. Complete trust and faith in their guidance and in a higher power will bring us spiritual health. I have learned that this step of faith and listening to the universe will help us to think in a healthier, more rational way. Then our behavior can be more positive. The last things to change, it seems, are our feelings. So it behooves us to do the spittle work first. A healthy spirit fosters a healthy mind and a healthy body.

In YOUR Dreams - March, 2011

Dear Cynthia,

In my dream I am blissfully swimming underwater with sharks and dolphins when I realize that I need to breathe. The water is a bit murky and hard to see through. I start to panic. Which way is up? How can I get to the air? The water gets clearer and then suddenly I am able to breathe, still underwater. Several dolphins jumped out of the water as if to celebrate my relieved, joyful feelings. It was so glorious I was actually sorry to wake up. What does it mean?

Becky in Sydney, Australia

Dear Becky,

What a cool dream! In the language of dreams, water can represent the unconscious mind and God/source/spirit. Water is also often indicative of the dreamer’s emotional state. Swimming and breathing underwater has been described by many as the way it feels to be in spirit, such as the freedom we experience when we finally drop our bodies. Many cultures allow that our spirits can leave our bodies at night while the physical needs rest. Native Americans, for example, believed that the spirit could visit with Ancestors for advice and direction. In your dream you are immersed in this spiritual dimension. Any creature that can leap out of the water and be seen in the air can stand for awareness. That is, observing something that was previously unknown to you. Sharks can be symbols of danger, threats and fear. While dolphins stand in for intelligence, playfulness and love. Murky water means that you are not clear about how you feel about someone or something. But when that clears, you are so comfortable that you can breathe under water.

Past Life Regression via Phone - Part 6

InfiniteQuest Article Image

It is most difficult to believe and/or understand the message my friend received from the “spirit of God” referring to the voice he heard in between lives and after being murdered in the concentration camp. If you remember, he said that the voice he heard was both male and female. He continued, “I’m surprised because I was expecting the God of the bible. It’s not. It’s light and loving. We’re all coming back. It’s okay. We’re asleep, but we’re seeing the future. I’m seeing myself very tiny.
